About James
From October 2021, I will be starting my degree in History and French at the University of Cambridge but beforehand I am eager to provide tuition for History students. I also provide French tuition. I have studied History at a range of levels, covering a range of periods and themes. This has given me a great enthusiasm for studying the past and understanding the philosophy behind historical practice. This enthusiasm is something I plan to incorporate into lessons. I have 9 GCSEs (all grade A/7 or above), A Levels in French, History and Geography (all A*) and an AS Level in Politics (A grade).

I offer lessons ranging from 30 minutes to an hour covering essay technique, source analysis and historical information for a variety of lessons from beginner up to GCSE. I aim to bring an element of fun to the lessons while providing skills that are transferrable across a wide range of historical topics but also beyond History. I am familiar with the requirements of History GCSE and iGCSE and can confidently provide support in these courses for a range of students.

I charge £10/hour for History lessons but an additional £2 if students want access to resources such as notes and worksheets that I have carefully crafted to aid their study.
