About Jane
I am currently studying Medicine as a second degree since deciding to take on the career change. I love human biology and understanding diseases and use this passion in my teaching. I worked in London before starting my course so have relocated to Nottingham! At the weekends, I enjoy live music and running or cycling with friends.

My lessons are interactive and engaging, typically structured around a mix of direct instruction, hands-on activities through problem solving and answering exam questions. We’ll often start with a brief introduction to the topic, followed by discussions or problem-solving sessions to deepen your understanding. I also use visual aids and videos to make complex concepts more accessible. We cover the core subjects of biology and chemistry ensuring you have a solid grasp of the key concepts and principles. We’ll explore everything from cell structures to chemical reactions. I’ll also help you develop essential skills, such as data interpretation. I believe in a supportive and open environment where questions are encouraged. My aim is to make science relevant to your everyday life and to help you see the connections between different topics. I have a previous tutoring experience in teaching GCSE science and I’m passionate about making science enjoyable and relatable. I tailor my approach to fit your unique learning style. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just want to improve your understanding, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s make science a subject you enjoy and excel in!
