About Kayla
I have just completed a Bachelor of Philosophy majoring in English and Literary Studies, and Classics and Ancient History, and with Honours in English and Literary Studies at the University of Western Australia in 2024. I completed my Honours in creative writing with a focus on representations of autistic people in prose fiction. I completed ATAR methods, literature, modern history, psychology, physics and human biology, and got an ATAR of 99.55, and a general exhibition ranking of 28th. I was awarded a prize for the Australian Public Schools Maths Olympiads for year 8 in 2016, and participated in the Have Sum Fun maths competitions every year from year 7-12.

Sessions typically an hour per week for one subject for primary or high school aged students. Students can either provide their own work which I would help them through for the hour, hence guiding the session themselves, or if they would prefer they can tell me the topic they are covering that week and I will provide worksheets and examples to work through. Through tutoring at Kumon for 4 years and privately for 3, I have found that both work, depending on what the student wants to get out of it.
