About Yilin
Currently, I work as a chess coach with primary schools, highschools and teach one of the biggest chess clubs for children in Montreal.
I started chess at 3 years old when my dad saw a poster about chess lessons at my kindergarden, in China. Having trained with grandmaster coaches that worked with world champions, my passion and dedication for the game has led me to win many national and international tournaments.
My goal is to share my love of chess :D

Join me for private online lessons held on Teams, with the use of Lichess studies. During our sessions, we will cover a range of topics, including strategic planning, tactical vision, theory of openings, endgame techniques, grandmasters games and analysing your own games. But, most importantly, my goal is to help you enjoy the process of learning and the game itself.
Our classes are tailored to meet your needs and preferences. During our first session, we will evaluate your current level of chess and determine whether we will start with introductory basics, calculations, or deeper analysis. This session also gives us a chance to meet and ensure that you enjoy our lessons and the game of chess.
We'll finish the lesson by discussing how you can continue to improve your chess game outside of our lessons. I will provide you with resources and tips for studying and practicing on your own.

Yilin is very good at explaining complicated chess concepts in easy to understand terms and breaking down the logic behind them. She also uses a lot of practice games to help you get used to implementing them and spot them more quickly.
