About Ivy
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Statistics at UBC Okanagan, with extensive teaching experience. Since 2015, I have been offering private lessons both in person and online. Prior to moving to Canada, I was a lecturer in Mathematics and Statistics in China for several years.
I provide lessons in English or Mandarin, depending on your preference, ensuring a comfortable learning environment for you. Sessions can take place in public spaces such as libraries, campus areas, or cafés. For online lessons, I use my personal Zoom meeting room.
All communication will be conducted through email or superprof messages. Feel free to reach out for tailored support in your studies.

My teaching approach focuses on explaining theorems and definitions through clear, practical examples. I believe one of the most effective ways to learn Mathematics and Statistics is by understanding examples thoroughly. This understanding is reinforced by solving carefully chosen exercises. As they say, true understanding is the best form of remembering.
