About Linda
As a career fine artist, designer, art teacher and professional illustrator, I wish to share my art knowledge and experience with students of all ages in a way that will excite and motivate them to express themselves in a creative way.
I want to encourage students to explore the many aspects of art, have fun and possibly find a skill they might be able to use in the future.
I feel it is very important to introduce students to a wide variety of art techniques, artists and art styles so that they can create their own unique masterpieces, build their self confidence and find their inner creativity.
• Born in Glasgow, Scotland UK
• M.A. in Illustration from California State University, Long Beach
• 15 years experience as a graphic designer/illustrator for Design firms and Ad agencies (California and Texas)
• 20 years experience as an art teacher in Houston Independent School District

After an initial discovery phase to determine students objectives, we embark on a lesson strategy that helps you unlock your inner creativity, refine your technical skills and prepare you for the next step in your journey as an artist.
My teaching style is friendly yet thorough and my 35+ years as a fine artist, illustrator and art instructor will help take you to the next level of your art ambitions.
My primary focus is on grades 3-12 but I will teach any age and experience level. Whether you’re trying to become a better painter/illustrator, brushing up on art history or preparing your portfolio to enter art school, I will challenge you in a fun and creative environment to help you reach your goals.
