About MARIE
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, first through Carnatic training, then through years of singing and eventually leading choirs. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being just a skill and became something closer to a calling.
I teach because I believe music is a gift, not something we own, but something we're given to share. Whether it's a child learning their first swara or a choir lifting a hymn together, singing has always felt like a way to reach beyond ourselves, to offer something back in praise, and to connect with the people standing or sitting right beside us.
That's really why I do this. Not just to teach technique, but to help someone else find that same sense of connection, whether to the divine, to a tradition, or simply to the people they're singing with.....
