About John
I have recently graduated from the Cambridge University CELTA course, which is a globally respected and honored English Teacher's training certification program.
I worked for several years as a freelance music journalist for the Houston Press, Philadelphia Weekly, and the Village Voice, contributing numerous record reviews, live music concert previews, and a feature article. My short fiction, "The Emerald," was included in the 2023 horror fiction anthology "Tales From Sley House."
I have a deep love of the English language as well as a passion for teaching English to others. Let me help you reach your English goals!

I teach multi-staged lessons targeted at improving fluency in everyday English from beginners (A1) to upper-intermediate (b2). I focus on speaking, listening, reading, all necessary skills for integrating into a native English speaking culture. I can teach one-on-one or in groups. As a lifelong English speaker and published writer, bring a high level of fluency and a broad vocabulary. Lessons will adapted to the needs of the student.
