About Sophie
Hi! I'm Sophie. I have a degree in Ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick, but above all, I have learned about traditional music by playing with many excellent musicians in pubs in the west of Ireland. After moving to Italy 11 years ago, I have also taken an interest in the music of southern Italy and Mediterranean music in general. I collaborate with several Irish music groups, with singers and with a dance theater group.

I offer Celtic harp lessons for people who want to play Irish, folk and world music. As is traditional, we learn a lot by ear, but I can also use sheet music if you prefer. I care a lot about the social aspect and the sheer joy of making music. Making music should first and foremost be fun!
