About Mckinley
Hello! My name is McKinley Armstrong, and I am a licensed educator with experience teaching middle school students and supporting learners in both K–12 and higher education settings. I hold a degree from James Madison University and Liberty University, where I continued my education through graduate studies focused on educational leadership and student success.
Throughout my career, I have worked as a classroom teacher, academic success instructor, admissions professional, and mentor. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of how students learn and the challenges they face both inside and outside the classroom. I have helped students improve their academic performance, strengthen study habits, prepare for exams, and build confidence in their abilities.
As an educator, I believe every student can succeed when provided with the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies. I pride myself on being patient, professional, and adaptable to the unique needs of each learner. Hi, I'm Mckinley! I am a licensed educator with experience teaching middle school science, academic success strategies, and working with students from diverse backgrounds. My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence while mastering the content they are learning in school.
My teaching approach focuses on making lessons engaging, interactive, and personalized to each student's learning style. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, use real-world examples, and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. Rather than simply providing answers, I help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that they can apply independently.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material and identification of any areas of difficulty.
