About Christina
Credentials: UBC BA, BEd; SFU MEd
I am a creative and compassionate BC-certified English teacher who has been teaching high school English for over 12 years. I have also tutored English and ELL for 15 years to students of all ages. I am very familiar with the curriculum, texts, and assessment practices. Building connections with my students is my passion, as I believe learning only happens when trust is developed.

I am very passionate about education and English. I believe in strength-based learning, and my goal is to guide my students in finding their confidence so that they can reach their full potential and enjoy studying English. I place equal emphasis on mechanics and literary analysis. As a progressive teacher, I often like to try new things that are more relevant to the needs and interests of my students. I am comfortable creating fun and engaging lesson plans to challenge my students and build their overall knowledge or offering assistance with current schoolwork. No matter what, my lessons are always tailored to each individual student.
