About Arta
Hello! My name is Arta, and I’m a passionate and experienced English tutor with a strong academic background and a love for teaching. I’ve been teaching English for over two years, working with students from different age groups and helping them reach their goals—whether it’s improving fluency, preparing for exams, or building strong grammar and writing skills. I hold an IELTS Band 8 and scored a perfect 70/70 on the Georgian national English exam. I’ve also worked as an intern teacher at American Corners Tbilisi, where I led creative and engaging English lessons for 5th and 6th graders. My experience also includes providing private lessons to teens, especially those preparing for national exams and improving their academic English. Currently, I’m a first-year medical student at Heidelberg University in Germany, where I continue to use English in academic and international environments daily. This gives me a unique perspective as a tutor—I understand the challenges students face and know how to guide them through every step with patience, motivation, and tailored support. As a tutor, I believe learning should be both effective and enjoyable. My approach is student-centered, meaning I adapt my teaching methods to match the learning style, goals, and level of each student. I combine interactive activities, real-life topics, and structured grammar and vocabulary exercises to make every lesson dynamic and useful. My Teaching Methods: I use a mix of: Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) to improve speaking and listening skills. Task-Based Learning, such as role plays, games, and debates. Visual and audio materials (videos, podcasts, charts, etc.) to make learning more engaging. For exam prep (like IELTS or national exams), I include test strategies, timed practice, and feedback sessions. A Typical Lesson Plan Includes: Warm-up / Small talk (5 mins) – to get into “English mode” Main topic or grammar focus (20–25 mins) – explained with clear examples Interactive practice (15–20 mins) – games, dialogues, listening/speaking tasks Review and homework suggestions (5–10 mins) – quick feedback and next steps Every lesson is designed to help the student build confidence, fluency, and accuracy over time.
