About Michael
Hi! I’m Mister Vaughn, a certified high school ESL math teacher with 4 years of experience, as well as a year of experience teaching middle school science. I hold bachelor's degrees in Physics and Political Science, as well as master's degrees in Education and TESOL. In addition to being a teacher, I'm currently in my 3rd year as my school’s math department leader.
My teaching approach focuses on understanding, not memorization. I help students break down questions, think critically, and reason through problems step by step. This approach not only prepares students for tests like the SAT or college courses, but also builds skills that are useful in real life.
I create free instructional videos on YouTube to make math accessible to everyone, but for students who want personalized, one-on-one guidance, I offer tutoring sessions through SuperProf. In our sessions, we’ll focus on your individual goals, tackle challenging topics together, and build your confidence in math.
