About Yara
Bonjour and welcome! I am a passionate French educator with 10 years of teaching experience and a Master of Education in French Immersion Pedagogy. My goal is to help students experience French not just as a subject, but as a living language. I believe true learning happens through immersion, active conversation, and consistent practice.
In my classes, you will hear and practice native-style pronunciation and explore different regional accents to build real listening confidence. I create a natural speaking environment where you think and respond in French with ease. Grammar and vocabulary are taught clearly, but always in context. Communication comes first.
I also love sharing the richness of French cinema, cuisine, history, and cultural traditions. Language becomes more meaningful when you understand the culture behind it. My lessons are interactive, structured, and designed to build fluency step by step. I support learners at all levels with patience and energy.

My teaching approach for French is structured, practical, and goal-oriented. I focus on building strong foundations in grammar, pronunciation, sentence formation, and everyday communication. Students improve in speaking, writing, reading, listening, vocabulary building, and translation skills step by step. I also support school curriculum topics such as comprehension passages, essay writing, letter writing, creative writing, and textbook exercises.
For exam preparation, I provide targeted practice for DELF-based patterns, school board exams, oral assessments, and internal tests. I teach smart memory retention techniques like keyword association, spaced revision, visual mapping, and quick grammar recall methods. Students learn effective test-taking strategies, time management skills, and structured answering techniques to score higher marks. Practice papers and mock tests are included regularly.
I also guide learners who want to reconnect with their cultural roots and strengthen their language identity with confidence and accuracy. For those preparing for travel or career growth, I train them in real-life conversations, interview communication, and workplace French. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and aligned with academic and professional goals. Every session is designed to make French clear, simple, and achievable.
