About Leana
I have been teaching for 26 years! I have an Advanced Professional Certificate in the state of Maryland. I have taught grades 3-12. I love working with students of all ages. I really enjoy math, and it make me happy to help students gain self-confidence in their own math skills by making it achievable for them!

I am excited to teach math, especially pre-algebra, algebra 1 and algebra 2. I start with instruction and modeling, progress to some guided practice, and then there is time for independent work during which I remain available the whole time! My students say that I am able to break down math into small steps that makes it easy for them to learn. I have worked with children grades 3-12, so I am available for elementary math as well as topics related to algebra.
