About Roselyn
Hi there! I'm Roselyn, an English educator based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a deep passion for helping learners break through their plateaus and reach the scores — and the opportunities — they're working towards.
I've lived and worked across New Zealand, South Korea, and Canada, which means I genuinely understand what it's like to navigate language and culture at the same time. Outside of teaching, I love building learning communities, exploring the connection between language and real life, and running English conversation meetups here in Auckland.

I hold a Master of TESOL with Distinction from the University of Auckland, a TESL Diploma from the Canadian College of Educators, and a TESOL Certificate from New Zealand — three qualifications built across three countries, all grounded in real classroom experience.
My core specialty is IELTS preparation. I've been coaching IELTS students since 2013 — first through private tutoring, then as a full-time IELTS instructor at a language academy, and most recently through my own education practice here in Auckland. I know exactly where students lose marks and how to fix it.
My lessons typically focus on:
Writing — Task 1 and Task 2 structure, coherence, and lexical range
Speaking — Fluency, pronunciation, and examiner-ready responses
Reading and Listening — Strategy and time management under exam conditions
Every lesson is structured around your target score and your specific weak points. I don't do generic — I do targeted.
