About Katherine
I have a Master's Degree in Reading Education, and a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I am a certified teacher and Reading Specialist. I have worked in both cyber and brick-and-mortar environments, so I am adaptable to both settings. So far, in the private school where I am employed full-time, I have already seen progress in each of my students when it comes to their Reading skills. Even small progress is still progress.

I have studied the Science of Reading, and how the brain works when it comes to learning how to read. I have also worked with Special Education students who learn sight words via memorization, and have worked with them to incorporate and increase their phonics skills. I am skilled in Spelling and Grammar, and always like to ensure that my students are not only writing correctly, but that they are speaking correctly as well. I can break down words into smaller parts to help students learn what larger words may mean, if they have not encountered them in the past. My lessons are for all ages who would like to increase their skills in any area of Reading, Spelling, Grammar, Comprehension, etc.
