About Lily
I’m a certified English Language Arts teacher for grades 6–12 with over a decade of tutoring experience and four years of classroom teaching. I hold an MFA in creative writing and have worked in both public school settings and specialized environments, including serving as the certified educator in all core subjects for a hospital-based program supporting students receiving inpatient care. My teaching experience spans one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and full-classroom settings with learners ages 7 to 18.

My approach is warm, student-centered, and highly individualized. I specialize in essay writing, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and academic confidence. I’ve worked extensively with learners who have IEPs and 504 plans, and I’m experienced in designing personalized lessons that meet a wide range of academic and emotional needs. Whether supporting a reluctant writer or preparing a student for college-level work, my goal is to help each learner build transferrable skills that foster independence, confidence, and long-term success.
