When you're in pain and the doctors say "It's all in your mind!" They may well be true, yet also incomplete and inaccurate in how it comes off to you. Pain being all in your mind DOES NOT MEAN it's imaginary. It means that the stress and Trauma that your mind had been trying to help you get through has compounded, stress on top of stress, overloading your mind, so your body is stepping up by taking on that pain to help your mind continue to function until you take the steps to help both your mind and body to acknowledge, process and release the stress. It can take a few sessions and different types of sessions to help your mind and body release what it's been holding in for you. If you're patient and compassionate with yourself though. If you acknowledge how much your body is trying to help you and be grateful for that help by giving your body the space to let be and be witness to what your body has been holding for you... once you start feeling the relief of Release, continuing to work with your body as an active partner in managing your pain and stress, you'll build resilience within yourself. Your ability to manage new stressors will improve allowing the inflammation in your body to decrease. You'll be able to better self regulate your emotions, your mind and your body's stress responses. You'll get close to just being wonderfully you.

Remember, if it's ALL IN YOUR MIND --- it is also ALL in Your control! You just need to learn how. Somatics is one of those learning tools.
