About Jessika
Salut, hello! Here we are : learning the lyrics of our multilingual world! Je suis québécoise. Et oui, I am a French Canadian! Welcome to the francophonie and its variations ;) I teach French since 2015. Before here, I was teaching French to future Québec immigrants in Brazil. I also taught French in Germany to teenagers and helped international students from Laval University in Québec City with their French immersion. Before being a French teacher, I am also a language learner. English, Portuguese, Spanish, German and Arabic are the languages I am able to use at different levels (some are rusty and need practice!) and that I learned through my studies, travels and expatriations. I studied international relations with modern languages and I have a master in international development and humanitarian action. I also work in project management and I am currently doing a certificate in French didactic, because I am just passionate about languages and teaching :) Here an inspiring quote from Nelson Mandela, that makes me think why it is so important to speak the language of the people we interact with: "If you talk to someone in a language he/she understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him/her in his/her own language, that goes to his/her heart." There we go, I am glad to be able to help you in your journey of learning French at whatever level you are ! Jessika
