About Pilar
I am a Business Management graduate, I have been Studying for CFA level I, an international finance designation. I have studied English since I was little and I took the Cambridge Proficiency exams several times although I have not passed it yet. I had curricular internships at BNP Paribas and extracurricular internship at Ernst & Young. I have two little brothers whom I help regularly, especially with English, and I can also help with probability and statistics.

My teaching approach varies depending on the person and the subject. For example, when learning financial ratios, I think it’s important to understand the logic behind them and do exercises to settle that knowledge.
In English, I think it is very important to have a solid base guided by textbooks, but motivated by movies, videos and books, and a teacher who goes beyond the text books to influence the person into improving and excel in the language.
It also depends on the age, a first-year degree student has their own methods of learning that work for them, and younger students have to be taught to be persistent and find what works for them, be it writing a thousand times a definition, repeating it until they know every and each comma or understanding it and move on to the next.
