Hello! My name is Umair, and I am a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and results-driven Finance Manager with over 12 years of extensive experience in the corporate financial world. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading multi-entity financial operations for prominent groups boasting revenues upward of $200M+.
My professional journey has given me deep, practical expertise across a wide array of critical domains. I specialize daily in IFRS/IAS financial reporting, complex consolidations, Oracle NetSuite implementations, post-acquisition integrations, and ensuring strict VAT and Corporate Tax compliance. Over the years, I have successfully reduced month-end closing cycles, optimized working capital, and strengthened internal controls to drive strategic business growth.
Why I Want to Teach:
Accounting and corporate finance are often taught as rigid, abstract concepts in textbooks, which can leave students feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from how businesses actually operate. I chose to become a private tutor because I want to demystify these subjects. My goal is to share the strategic, real-world insights I've gained in the boardroom to help the next generation of finance professionals, university students, and exam candidates excel.
