About Joseph
I recently attained my integrated Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University in which I achieved a First. I am currently scaling my own business which gives me the flexibility to offer tutoring in the subjects I have such a passion for.
I truly struggled with Maths and the Sciences in secondary school - I was told I would not do well by many teachers. Determined to do engineering at University I had to quickly find out HOW to study to help me get better results. It revolved around truly understanding core principles and it got me A's in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths. I think NOT having been very 'gifted' in these subjects initially, allows me to understand the often small change of approach that is needed to drive you better results.
I tutor with GCSE and A-Level students studying Physics & Chemistry. Lessons can be booked for 1 or 2 hour slots

My primary aim is to help you grasp topics from a fundamental level. I believe this is the key to feeling fully confident in high pressure exam situations as the reliance on memory work is reduced, and you have the ability to work around unfamiliar problems!
I believe that tailoring a personalised plan of action after gaining a real understanding of your specific needs, all while remaining consistent and flexible, is the key to realising tangible improvements in your study.
