About Qais
Hello, I'm Qais and welcome to my page! I’ve just finished my second year at Loughborough University studying Chemical Engineering. Having completed formal exams for the 7th year in a row I understand the pressures a student may feel and the preparation required to build towards a successful peak on exam day. Helping a student to conquer difficult concepts and progress over time is something I really enjoy. Having worked part time in a school for a year I have encountered many different learning styles all of which I learned to adapt to and convey ideas effectively. Maths has always been my favourite subject at school. Having achieved A's at GCSE, GCSE Further Maths and A-level Maths I have a good understanding of what the examiners are looking for and I can help you to get as close to that as possible.

It is no secret practice makes perfect especially in maths. My lessons will be interactive to ensure the student is always fully engaged and enjoys the lessons. Using different learning strategies such as quizzes and plenty of exam questions will ensure the student learns using different techniques ultimately boosting confidence to reach higher grades. The lessons will tend to follow a pattern of recapping the lesson before and then learning something new before summarising the lesson however this is totally flexible to suit the students requirements. Remember to ask questions at any time! Depending on the students personal commitments I can set work which I can mark and return to the student before the next lesson so it is ready to go through during the lesson which is much more efficient than marking during a lesson. In addition to this I am a firm believer that repetition works and therefore regularly reviewing a new topic after it has been learned significantly reduces the chances of forgetting the content learned.
