Passionate chemical engineering student who loves math and chemistry. I have taken courses in single variable and multivariable calculus, differential equations, accelerated general chemistry, physics mechanics and electricity/magnetism, and chemical engineering. My goal is to develop critical thinking skills in math and science. Often times, students try to memorize problem types when preparing for exams. While memorization is necessary, it will not help when students are given problems that they have never seen. Students begin to realize the difficulty with memorization when they reach their first physics and calculus course--I know because I tried to memorize. I didn't receive the results I wanted until I discarded my habit of memorization and developed my critical thinking skills. I would like to help students in this transition so that they can achieve the results they want. To develop critical thinking skills, I like to present problems that help students develop the fundamentals of problem solving.
