About Dana
I am a working chemist in the profession, graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Victoria. I enjoy tutoring and have experience of more than 250 hrs tutoring science and math at the student's pace and educational background. I have been tutoring since 2018. My background involves a variety of sciences including biology, biochemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, spectroscopy, organic and inorganic chemistry, and up to first-year physics and math. I am enthusiastic about education and have volunteered a lot with the Let's Talk Science organization to promote science activities in elementary, middle, and high schools. I have tutored home-schooled students and public-schooled students. Experienced tutor with over 350 hrs.

I like to explain using diagrams, flow charts, comparison tables, and pictures. A typical class is flexible with student preference. I usually explain concepts and use examples to apply the concept. I think my simple language makes me a special tutor. I believe people remember best when they understand the concept, thus I focus on trying to make topics as simple as possible.
