About Mia
I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Science, with a minor in Economics. My studies have given me a strong background across chemistry, biology, pharmacology, physiology and other biomedical sciences.
I’ve also been tutoring students for over a year, including VCE students, and have experience adapting lessons to different learning styles and levels of confidence. I particularly enjoy taking complicated topics and explaining them in a way that feels much simpler and less intimidating.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions — even if they think they’re “obvious” ones! My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to actually understand the reasoning behind it so they can become more confident and independent in their studies.

My lessons are tailored to each student and focus on making difficult science concepts feel clear and manageable. I can help with Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science and related biological/health science subjects at VCE and first-year university level.
Depending on what you need, lessons can include going through course content, breaking down difficult concepts, working through practice questions, assignment support, exam preparation and revision. I’m also happy to work from your own lecture slides, worksheets or course materials so our sessions stay relevant to what you’re currently learning.
As a Pharmaceutical Science university student, I understand how overwhelming science subjects can become when content starts piling up. My teaching style is patient, relaxed and encouraging, and I’m always happy to explain something in a different way until it makes sense.

Mia is really smart and chill and she has like alot of presentations and teaching materials I can use when I study, shes really nice too, and she always checks in during the week if i have any troubles with topics at school and if i dont know how to do my homework she helps me in our class if i ask. Wonderful and polite tutor, very soft spoken and professional. My daughter is very shy and was struggling to ask her teacher for help in class, but felt very comfortable asking Mia.
