About Sanjana
Hi, I'm Sanjana but you can call me San! I am a first-year medical student at St George's University of London. I have a passion for tutoring, teaching and motivating my students throughout their studies by helping them with organisation, revision, time management and more as I appreciate it can be difficult to know where to start with little prior experience.
From my own experience, I understand GCSEs can be very challenging and at some times demanding as you are having to do subjects you may not particularly enjoy; however, I would aim to share my love for learning with others, especially in the sciences.
I mainly tutor GCSE Biology & Chemistry, however, I have supported students with Physics and Maths before.
I believe confidence is a major thing when it comes to anything, especially education, which is why I find it very important to focus on my students' strengths and weaknesses. I aim to provide high-quality tutoring specific to my students, educating them on revision strategies I wish I was taught about.
I hope to inspire my students and show them it only requires some hard work and structure to go from a grade 4/5 to 8/9 as I was able to.
About the lesson

Lessons are conducted online, usually using Google Meet.
GCSE lessons will follow the subject-specific specification so students understand where they are at in the syllabus compared with school.
I will ensure you understand the basics so we can build up from there so that you can get the most out of your lessons.
Lessons will usually be 1 hour long but can be longer if the student requests.
My teaching technique will be specific to the student's learning method; however, with all my students, I aim to teach them the content, then test them to see what level of understanding they have before moving on. I will provide them with resources I have made and have access to which they can use independently or with me.
With previous students, I have produced a Google folder for them, including all their notes, lesson plans and additional questions for them to answer independently for me to mark, so it is easy for them to access.
I aim to support students with time management, revision methods and helping with organisation as I believe these are crucial skills to develop during GCSE times.
