About Leon
My journey into chemistry began with curiosity about how invisible particles create visible change. This interest led me to complete a B.Sc in Chemistry followed by an M.Sc in Chemical Sciences, where I developed strong theoretical and analytical foundations. Over 11 years of teaching, I have supported students in transforming confusion into clarity by emphasizing understanding over memorization. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, structure, and adaptability. I believe every student can succeed in chemistry when explanations are paced correctly and concepts are broken down logically. I encourage students to ask questions freely and engage actively with the subject. Outside teaching, I stay connected to chemistry through scientific reading, practical demonstrations, and continuous study of emerging developments. Teaching chemistry is deeply fulfilling because I witness students gain confidence in their ability to think scientifically and solve complex problems with precision.

Chemistry lessons are structured to help students truly understand matter, reactions, and transformations rather than memorizing isolated facts. I guide learners through atomic structure, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, organic chemistry, and basic analytical techniques by connecting microscopic behavior to observable outcomes. Lessons emphasize conceptual clarity, logical sequencing, and real-life relevance so students can visualize how chemical principles operate in everyday materials and processes.
Each lesson is carefully adapted to the learner’s level and academic needs. Beginners focus on building strong foundations, understanding symbols, formulas, and basic reaction logic with patient explanation. Intermediate learners strengthen numerical problem-solving, reaction mechanisms, laboratory interpretation, and exam-oriented accuracy. Advanced learners work on multi-step problems, organic synthesis logic, physical chemistry concepts, and confident exam writing strategies. Practice questions, guided corrections, and revision discussions are integral to every session.
