About Faith
My journey in chemistry began with fascination about how matter behaves, transforms, and interacts at a fundamental level. This led me to complete a B.Sc in Chemical Sciences and an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, where I built strong foundations in molecular reasoning, reaction mechanisms, and analytical approaches. Over 10 years of teaching, I have guided learners of various backgrounds, helping them gain clarity, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for chemistry.
I emphasize a teaching philosophy centered on patience, adaptability, and conceptual understanding. Each student’s learning style is unique, and I tailor explanations using diagrams, analogies, and stepwise reasoning. I encourage learners to verbalize their thinking, which reinforces comprehension and builds independence. Rather than focusing solely on memorization, I focus on making connections between theory, practice, and real-world applications.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with chemistry through continuous learning, research reading, and problem-solving experiments. Teaching chemistry is deeply fulfilling because I witness learners grow from uncertainty to mastery, becoming confident individuals capable of applying chemical principles thoughtfully and creatively.

Chemistry becomes far more engaging when learners are guided to visualize molecular structures and interactions rather than only relying on symbols. My lessons focus on connecting theory with observable phenomena to foster intuitive understanding. Topics such as atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, acids and bases, thermodynamics, and equilibrium are explored through structured explanation, real-world examples, and problem-solving exercises. I encourage students to ask questions, experiment mentally with reactions, and reason through outcomes, creating a classroom atmosphere that emphasizes curiosity and understanding over rote memorization.
Lesson structure is tailored to each learner’s academic level. Beginners focus on familiarizing themselves with basic formulas, symbols, and reaction reasoning. Intermediate learners work on accurate stoichiometry, reaction prediction, and practical application of chemical concepts. Advanced learners explore reaction mechanisms, multi-step problem solving, and analytical reasoning, while integrating theoretical knowledge with computational or experimental insight. Guided practice, reflective discussion, and detailed error analysis help learners internalize concepts effectively.
Chemistry lessons also nurture critical thinking, organization, and patience. Students often gain confidence as they predict outcomes, analyze results, and connect microscopic interactions with observable phenomena. My goal is to help learners become confident, analytical thinkers who can approach chemical challenges methodically and independently.
