About Dorian
I have 8 years of experience teaching Chemistry, helping students build conceptual understanding and hands-on skills. I earned a B.Sc in Physical Chemistry, which equipped me with knowledge of molecular interactions, thermodynamic principles, and analytical techniques. Throughout my teaching career, I have helped learners from basic understanding to advanced chemical problem-solving through structured, engaging, and interactive lessons.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, application, and curiosity. I break complex topics into manageable steps, provide real-world examples, and encourage questions and exploration. Chemistry is most fascinating when students understand molecular interactions, chemical transformations, and how principles apply to real life. In my lessons, I cover atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, acid-base chemistry, kinetics, organic reactions, and experimental techniques. Lessons focus on concept clarity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving, creating an environment where learners feel confident asking questions and exploring ideas while building mastery.
Lesson structure is customized to each student’s level. Beginners focus on foundational concepts, basic calculations, and simple experiments to develop understanding and confidence. Intermediate learners explore reaction mechanisms, equilibrium, solution chemistry, and analytical techniques to strengthen reasoning skills. Advanced students tackle spectroscopy, experimental design, complex synthesis, and practical problem-solving exercises, reinforcing mastery and skill. Each lesson combines guided exercises, discussion, and constructive feedback to ensure comprehension, retention, and applied knowledge.
Studying chemistry develops analytical reasoning, structured problem-solving, and independent thinking applicable to academics, research, and professional settings.
