About Emily
I have recently graduated with a first class Masters degree from the University of Birmingham, and am now starting my PhD studies. I started tutoring just a few months ago but have had good success with my tutees, who have either been in the process of completing GCSE or A Levels. I'll be able to help with the full range of subject areas in Chemistry, and have particular experience in Inorganic Chemistry.
Through my degree I took part in outreach events that enhanced my ability to communicate science concepts effectively, even partaking in an educational project in my final year.

I generally like to pose questions to my students that allow them to think about the theory of what they are studying rather than simply talking at them. I find this way it helps the information stick, and understanding is greater, rather than just memorisation.
