About Malaikah
I have always been a high attainer in academic settings, however I would generally struggle with revision as I would get bored easily and lack motivation and concentration. To overcome these obstacles I had to find something that worked best for me personally. This ended up being active methods of revision with lots of visual aids and colour involved to keep my brain stimulated. I have tried and discovered many methods of learning and revision over the years and now I want to share them with others!
I want to help my students improve in their weaker subjects, just as I worked to, so they do not feel restricted later in life when choosing to specialise in a subject for further education or even when choosing their careers.

I have been a maths tutor for the last 3 years working with KS3 to GCSE students. I have both GCSE and A-Level Maths Qualifications as well as a BSc Chemistry Degree.
When working with students, we will discuss how we can work together to find a method that keeps you engaged and motivated to learn, ensuring you achieve the best grades in a way that appeals to you but is also specific to you and your individual needs.
Lessons will be 1 hour long usually, as I believe this is the optimum time to remain focused without feeling overwhelmed! We will spend 5-10 minutes doing a starter activity to ease you in before moving on to a specific topic. At the end of the lesson we will take a couple minutes to reflect on your progress and understanding, then discuss what the focus should be for the next lesson.
