About Malcolm
My interest in chemistry grew from curiosity about how small particles interact to create visible change. This passion led me to pursue an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry, where I developed strong analytical skills and theoretical understanding. Over 10 years of teaching, I have supported students through challenging topics by breaking complexity into manageable, logical steps. I approach teaching with patience and empathy, recognizing that chemistry can initially feel intimidating. My focus is on clarity, repetition when needed, and adapting explanations to individual learning styles. I encourage students to ask questions and build confidence through understanding rather than memorization. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with chemistry through academic reading, research updates, and applied problem-solving. These interests enrich my lessons and help me provide meaningful context. Teaching chemistry is fulfilling because I see students grow from hesitation to confidence, trusting their ability to reason scientifically.

Lesson plans are adapted to each student’s learning stage. Beginners focus on basic principles, chemical language, equations, and simple calculations. Intermediate learners develop stronger problem-solving skills, reaction analysis, laboratory reasoning, and conceptual connections. Advanced learners refine analytical thinking, exam strategies, and multi-topic integration. Practice questions and guided feedback are included in every lesson to reinforce learning.
