About Lily
I have pursued my passion for chemistry through an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry and Biochemical Applications and 9 years of teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners across different stages, from high school students to advanced learners preparing for university and research careers. I specialise in explaining complex chemical concepts in an accessible and engaging manner while cultivating analytical skills.
My teaching approach emphasises clarity, interaction, and real-world relevance. Lessons combine theory, problem-solving exercises, laboratory demonstrations, and contextual examples, ensuring students understand the principles and can apply them confidently. I focus on fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence in every learner.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring chemical research, laboratory techniques, and contemporary applications of chemistry to bring current insights into lessons. Teaching chemistry is profoundly rewarding because I see learners grow in understanding, competence, and enthusiasm, transforming from uncertain students into confident, knowledgeable individuals capable of approaching challenges with skill and curiosity.
