About Sahana
My interest in chemistry began during my Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences, where I explored how substances interact and transform. I found it fascinating how chemical principles explain many processes around us. Over the past 12 years, I have helped students understand chemistry in a way that feels simple, clear, and engaging.
I believe that chemistry should not feel difficult when explained properly. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex ideas into smaller, easy-to-understand steps. I use simple language, clear examples, and structured guidance to help students build confidence. I also adjust my teaching method based on each student’s level, so they can learn comfortably without pressure.
Outside teaching, I continue reading about developments in chemistry and exploring different topics. This helps me bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Teaching chemistry is very rewarding for me because I see students improve their understanding and confidence. Helping them overcome challenges and succeed in the subject is something I truly enjoy.

Chemistry becomes meaningful when students understand how reactions and substances behave in real situations. In my lessons, I focus on building this understanding step by step using simple explanations and clear examples. We begin with core concepts such as atomic structure, bonding, and basic reactions. I explain each idea in a calm and structured way so students can follow easily without feeling confused. I also use everyday examples to show how chemistry connects to daily life, making learning more interesting and relatable.
As students progress, I introduce more detailed topics like chemical equations, stoichiometry, and reaction mechanisms. Each lesson includes guided practice where students solve problems and understand each step clearly. I focus on helping them understand why reactions happen, not just how to solve questions. Regular revision and discussion help strengthen their knowledge and improve accuracy. This approach builds confidence and reduces the fear many students have toward chemistry.
Chemistry lessons also improve logical thinking and analytical skills. Students learn to approach problems with clarity and structure. Over time, they become more confident in solving equations and explaining concepts. My goal is to help learners feel comfortable with chemistry and develop a strong foundation that supports their academic growth.
