About Anna
Hi, I'm Anna. I graduated with a master's in Chemistry in 2023, and am now pursuing a PhD in Computational Chemistry. With the goal to end up in a teaching-focused career, I am passionate about making STEM subjects accessible, while increasing students' confidence and understanding to help them reach their potential.

Typically lessons will begin with a recap on the previous session, checking in about any work that was set for the student to complete at home (although homework is always optional). Sessions will always be student led, focusing on the topics that they struggle the most with using techniques they prefer. Whether that is focusing on exam questions or recapping fundamental topics. I am keen to adapt my teaching style for each student, as learning is not a one size fits all, so this will be informed by a short chat at the end of the session, where the student will have an opportunity to tell me what they want to focus on next week and if any techniques we have been trying haven't felt helpful. After studying Chemistry at university for four years, I am now pursuing a PhD in Computational Chemistry (which puts my research at the intersection of physics, chemistry and maths). Alongside my PhD I teach and support undergraduate students in Chemistry, and have previous experience tutoring at both GCSE and A-Level. I offer tutoring for both combined and triple science GCSE (biology, chemistry and physics) along with maths. I also offer tutoring for Physics, Chemistry and Maths A-Level.
