About Azfar
Hi! I’m Azfar, a Cybersecurity student at Ontario Tech University and a former Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I have 4 years of tutoring experience and enjoy helping students turn difficult Science concepts into material they can actually understand and apply.
I’ve helped students improve from grades in the 60s to 85+, and I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without feeling pressured.
My goal is to help students not only improve their grades, but also build the confidence and problem-solving skills they can carry into future courses.

My approach to Science is focused on understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing facts. I break difficult topics into smaller steps, explain the reasoning behind them, and use real-world examples and practice questions to make the material easier to understand.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by an explanation of the current topic and guided examples. We then work through questions together, identify gaps in understanding, and finish with independent practice and a recap.
What sets me apart is my 4 years of tutoring experience and my background in Engineering at the University of Waterloo, followed by my current studies in Cybersecurity at Ontario Tech University. I’ve helped students improve from grades in the 60s to 85+, and I adapt my explanations to how each student learns best.
I primarily tutor students in Grades 5–12 Science, including Chemistry, Physics, and general Science. I can help with current coursework, homework, test preparation, catching up on difficult topics, or getting ahead of the curriculum.
