About Nicole
I foster student learning by providing a welcoming environment to encourage the curiosity and understanding of chemistry. This is the vision statement that I created when managing a chemistry tutoring center at Boise State University. I accidently, yes accidently, found my passion of helping chemistry students while tutoring my classmates. This led me down a path I said I would never take, and that was to become a teacher. I have taught chemistry classes and labs, which eventually led me to building a chemistry tutoring program that grew from 6,000 student visits to over 30,000 student visits in three years. I am excited to learn more about you as a person, as well as accompany you on your learning journey.

From many years of chemistry tutoring experience, I have found that helping students learn how to pull out the necessary information so they know how to start and where to go is the best long-term solution. I have seen many types of barriers to learning and will adapt my lessons to their unique situation. My goal is to get each person to a place where they do not need me anymore.
