About Nikhita
I'm Nikhita, and I'm currently completing an undergrad in chemistry at the University of Toronto (#1 University in Canada). For the past four years in high school, I tutored middle school students and students with intellectual disabilities in subjects such as math, science, and computer science. I tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students exceed and grow confidence in their abilities. I find that many of my students get intimidated when there are multiple concepts tested on a single problem, so my goal as a tutor is to break down complex topics into clear and approachable steps to make it manageable. I firmly believe education opens the door for endless opportunities, and it would be an honor to help you with your academic goals.

- Using the course syllabus and lesson plan as reference, I will design our tutoring sessions accordingly to ensure our lessons are aligned with the course
- I will work through problems step by step, and encourage students to explain the process to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Provide tips for memorization skills, such as mnemonic devices and active recall
- Emphasize building a conceptual understanding, rather than memorizing formulas
