About Sumaya
My interest in Chemistry began when I realized how molecular interactions shape everything around us—from the air we breathe to the materials we use daily. This curiosity inspired me to complete a B.Sc in Chemical Principles, where I studied reactions, bonding theories, analytical methods, and chemical behavior in depth. Over the past 7 years, I have dedicated myself to teaching because I find it incredibly meaningful to help students turn confusion into clarity. I teach with patience, structure, and a strong focus on building understanding rather than memorization. I take time to learn each student’s strengths and struggles, adapting examples and explanations to help them progress comfortably. I encourage learners to think critically, ask questions, and explore multiple approaches until the ideas become intuitive. My classroom environment is supportive, calm, and centered on growth. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with chemistry through academic articles, practical experiments, and review of scientific developments. Bringing these insights into lessons helps students see Chemistry as a living, relevant field. Supporting learners as they grow more confident, analytical, and capable is one of the most rewarding aspects of my profession.

Chemistry becomes clearer when students learn to visualize what happens at the particle level and understand the logic behind reactions. My lessons explore atomic structure, bonding, periodicity, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, equilibrium, acids and bases, and introductory organic mechanisms. I explain each concept using diagrams, reasoning models, and stepwise breakdowns to help students form a solid conceptual framework. Instead of memorizing reactions, learners discover how patterns and principles guide chemical behavior.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace. Beginners work on understanding atoms, simple reactions, valency, electron arrangement, and basic equations. Intermediate learners study bonding types, mole concepts, energy changes, and reaction patterns with structured practice. Advanced learners focus on analytical reasoning, pH calculations, enthalpy interpretation, organic mechanisms, and exam-style applied problems. I provide guided examples, structured feedback, and supportive correction strategies that help students steadily build confidence.
Studying Chemistry strengthens critical thinking, visualization skills, and the ability to understand complex systems. Students become more observant and analytical, using evidence-based reasoning to interpret reactions and patterns. My goal is to help learners approach Chemistry with curiosity and confidence, discovering that the subject is logical, structured, and far more intuitive than they may have believed.
