About Daphne
My interest in chemistry began with a curiosity about how substances interact and transform. This led me to earn a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, providing both theoretical knowledge and laboratory experience. Over 10 years, I have helped learners across diverse levels strengthen their conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and laboratory proficiency.
I emphasize a student-focused approach with interactive demonstrations, guided problem-solving, hands-on exercises, and practical examples. I encourage learners to ask questions, analyze reactions, explore mechanisms, and connect concepts to daily life, nurturing deep understanding, curiosity, and independence.
Outside teaching, I engage in research, lab work, and applied chemistry projects to keep lessons current and relevant. Watching students develop confidence, analytical reasoning, and practical competence is deeply rewarding. Supporting learners to become capable, curious, and confident chemists is the core purpose of my work.

My lessons cover stoichiometry, thermodynamics, kinetics, organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical techniques, and lab safety, using demonstrations, real-life examples, interactive exercises, and guided problem-solving. Students are encouraged to hypothesize, experiment, analyze results, and make connections, fostering curiosity, precision, and conceptual understanding.
Lesson plans are personalized for each student. Beginners learn basic reactions, mole calculations, and chemical properties. Intermediate learners explore kinetics, equilibrium, functional groups, and laboratory techniques to strengthen reasoning and hands-on skills. Advanced learners tackle reaction mechanisms, complex problem-solving, and experimental design, with structured guidance, feedback, and iterative practice. Each session balances theory, practical application, and critical evaluation.
Learning chemistry develops analytical thinking, precision, and problem-solving skills useful in academia and professional contexts. Students gain confidence in calculations, experimentation, and conceptual reasoning.
