About Naomi
My interest in chemistry began with observing reactions and exploring molecular interactions. I pursued a B.Sc in Chemistry followed by an M.Sc in Inorganic Chemistry, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory experience. Over 7 years, I have guided students through foundational and advanced topics, helping them develop analytical skills, confidence, and independent problem-solving abilities.
I teach with patience, clarity, and interactive methods, using stepwise explanations, practical examples, and exercises to make lessons engaging and effective. I encourage learners to think critically, ask questions, and explore concepts independently, promoting both understanding and curiosity.
Outside teaching, I stay involved with laboratory experiments, research projects, and scientific literature, integrating real-world applications into lessons. Seeing students grasp complex ideas, develop analytical skills, and gain confidence in chemistry is deeply fulfilling and motivates me to continue refining my teaching approach.

Chemistry is the study of matter and its transformations, and my lessons make this subject accessible, practical, and intellectually stimulating. Students explore reaction mechanisms, bonding theories, stoichiometry, kinetics, and laboratory techniques through interactive explanations, examples, and problem-solving exercises. Lessons focus on understanding underlying principles rather than memorising formulas, fostering analytical thinking, practical reasoning, and conceptual mastery. By connecting chemical concepts to everyday life and laboratory applications, students gain both confidence and curiosity.
Lesson plans are customised for each learner. Beginners study atomic structures, simple reactions, and foundational calculations, establishing a strong base. Intermediate learners explore solution chemistry, thermodynamics, and chemical analysis, enhancing problem-solving and reasoning skills. Advanced learners engage with reaction mechanisms, spectroscopy, and applied experimental design, strengthening independent thinking and conceptual understanding. Each session incorporates hands-on exercises, guided questioning, and practical examples to reinforce learning and application.
