About Vytis
I'm Vytis, a recent IB graduate from Lithuania on a gap year before studying Biomedicine at Imperial College London. I finished the diploma with 43/45 and won a national gold medal at the Biology Olympiad, so I've been on the student side of this very recently and remember exactly which parts of the course feel impossible until someone explains them properly.
Chemistry is what I actually do, not just what I teach. This year I'm working on a research project on CFTR protein variants using AlphaMissense, which means a lot of data analysis and statistics. The same skills make or break an IB Internal Assessment.
I've also spent the last year helping IB students with their university applications, so I know how an IB predicted grade turns into an offer, and what admissions tutors want to see from a chemistry applicant.
My teaching style is direct and practical. I'd rather show you how to build a 7-mark answer than talk around a topic for an hour. I'm patient with gaps, honest about where you stand, and I expect you to do the work between sessions.

I teach IB Chemistry HL and SL online to students who want a 6 or 7, not just a pass. I finished the IB in 2026 with 43/45 and a 7 in Chemistry HL, and I have Olympiad experience in the UK, so I know both the syllabus and the level of thinking the top band actually asks for.
Chemistry is where most IB students lose marks for reasons that have nothing to do with understanding: a sign error in enthalpy, a missed state symbol, an equilibrium answer that explains the right thing in the wrong order. Lessons start with a short diagnostic to find the topics costing you points, then we fix them with past-paper-style questions, not slides. I teach each command term as a separate skill, and we drill the calculation chains (moles, energetics, kinetics, acids and bases) until the working is automatic.
I have experience working with curricula other than the IB, including A-levels, AP, IGCSE, and similar.

Vytis helped me get a better grasp of IB economics, and I personally credit him with improving my term grades. I specifically worked with Vytis on improving my skills in the topic of market power for microeconomics, and we worked on 10 and 15 mark questions for Paper 1.
