About Sophie
Hi! I’m an Oxford University 1st year Mbiochem student. I was a student at one if the leading, highly selective state schools in the UK for academic outcomes. Offering tutoring for Maths, Biology, Chemistry, interview prep, personal statement aid, and Oxbridge preparation.
- Oxford Biochemistry Offer Holder 2026
- A in AS level Art in 2025 summer (highest grade).
- GCSE results with 9s in English, Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, Spanish and Art. Here, I was awarded Top in Year/academic attainment for Physics,Art, Spanish, Maths, Biology and History at GCSE level.
- I achieved Gold certificates and the Top in my School, higher than the years above me several times for UKMTs and was also invited to the Olympiad.
- I also have a UKChO High Silver award from year 12 (out of both Y13s and Y12s) and various other successes in national competitions (essay competitions international 2nd, team competitions, and Biology Olympiads/Challenges).
- Experience tutoring several students prior to this for 11+, GCSE and AS level for 40+ hours.

- Generally, I check first and foremost understanding and memory where I will ask the student to verbalise their thought process -- as I feel this would be beneficial for the student in the long term too :). Following this, I plan to hone their exam technique, mainly through practice questions which we can go through
- I will explain how I would approach the question and what is key in the answer. However, I can tailor my lessons to the person, depending on their key weaknesses or preferred study methods.
