About Francesco
I have been playing chess since I was 4, I have played competitively in several tournaments in Italy and UK. Participant at the Mind Sports Olympiad since 2019. I currently coach in chess clubs for primary and secondary schools and I teach privately abstract strategy games (or 'Pure Strategy Games', that is games not involving any form of luck, such as Chess, Go, Hive, Abalone, Quoridor, etc) to several learners of any age.

I work together with the student to make them understand the ideas behind each move. I normally suggest books to read and exercises to do to let the student feel the improvements also when they work by themselves. I adapt my methods to students of any age, and in particular with young learners I try to make the learning process as fun as possible!

Perfect! Francesco is nice, friendly and passionate about his gig. He explains the basic rules of the game to me succinctly. He also provides me with extra information on how to play the game better. Highly recommended.
