About Amish
I was first introduced to the game of chess when I was 10 and I was told that I played quite aggressively. Only over COVID did I hone my skills and use my strengths to improve rapidly over the last 2 years. I've climbed from an 800 ELO rating to a 1800 ELO rating on Chess.com over this time period and I am going to continue getting better. That's why I'm offering my services, so we can all grow and excel together! I would also love to take you to a few chess tournaments where we can test our skills against the best in BC!

I believe that learning is done best in an immersive environment. My approach is to play multiple games in order to explain the thought process and intuition, rather than teach you deep theory. Happy to teach classes online, ideally I would prefer to play in person and build a chess community right in my backyard!

He can tell you about various lessons, openings, and possibly good piece sacrifices for a good reason.I did a lesson with him, and his explaining if my moves were good or bad, made completely totally good sense.
