About Lily
With four years as a summer camp counselor and seven years as a tutor, I have experience working with children of all ages and abilities. Primarily, I tutor in English, math, and social studies. I am known for my adaptability, good sense of humor in taking care of children and for my organization and enthusiastic encouragement in tutoring students.

My approach to tutoring is to meet my student where they are at. I like to take my first lesson with a student as a way to get to know them and how they learn. From there, I like to develop a framework for lesson plans with them, so that they know what to expect in tutoring sessions.
A typical session with me looks like:
1. A check-in-- I think it is important to get to know students on a personal level and know what is going on in their life
2. Discussion of the lesson plan and make any necessary changes
3. Connect lesson plan to school work/homework
4. Track progress-- different based on each student
