About Arthur
- More than ten years of practice in China have given me the opportunity to learn, share and develop meaningful work and obtain life experiences over time in the most populated country in the world, also one of the fastest growing economies by standards of scale and scope.
- In Mexico I work as a consultant, translator and interpreter, coach and language teacher. I frequently give mentoring and training in businesses related to Asia-Pacific in English, Chinese Mandarin and Spanish for companies and individuals.
- Managing projects in China taught me discipline and dedication to generate results with personal and professional impact. While attending university, I got a part-time job as soon as I started my studies in this country thanks to a scholarship by the Education Council of the People's Republic of China. The beginning of a new project in life that helped the design and production of public and private physical infrastructure throughout the country. It was also a challenging process full of documentation and language translation, aimed at helping different companies to communicate the contents of their projects to local institutions and international corporations. Additional duties and responsibilities during this process would include: public relations and communication with clients, assistance to business negotiations, organization and coordination of networking events and design work of marketing and communication materials with work teams in the different departments of the companies and institutions.
- Some of the companies I have collaborated with in the production of projects, services and consulting in China, Hong Kong, Asia Pacific and Mexico are: Nokia & Siemens, Huawei Technologies, Volkswagen of Mexico, Starwood Hotels, Saint Gobain, IKEA, HuTong School Shanghai, Wall Street English, Zhejiang Television, and Tequila Casa Noble.
- I was the Cofounder of Chinese Club. CC is a social organization based in China dedicated to promoting cultural values among expatriates and nationals interested in learning more about the heritage of this country. In addition, it helps to introduce anyone to Western Culinary Culture through social events that connect people of different origins, countries and social status. During my time at CC, I made it possible to plan, organize and promote many of the activities organized by this non-profit community. Thanks to this memorable experience, I developed useful skills in the areas of public relations, hospitality, event planning and public speaking, cultural exchange, language learning, and effective communication between locals and foreigners.
