About Carver
Hi! I’m a Doctor of Medicine graduate and a part-time online tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience.
One of the things that makes me happiest as a tutor is seeing my students improve, gain confidence and achieve prizes in competitions. Their progress is what motivates me to continue teaching.
I believe that there are no “stupid” students — sometimes, they simply haven’t found the right way to learn yet. I’m here to help each student discover a learning approach that suits them and makes it easier for them to understand things that may seem difficult at first.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and help them become more comfortable expressing themselves. I hope to see even shy or introverted students become more confident in asking questions, sharing their ideas and participating actively in class.
Whether it is speaking Chinese, solving Math problems or understanding Science concepts, I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and learning from them.
I look forward to helping each student make steady progress, discover their strengths and become a more confident learner.

I believe effective learning should be clear, structured and enjoyable. My lessons are tailored to each student’s level and learning needs.
For Chinese, I focus on helping students build a strong foundation in pronunciation, vocabulary and basic communication, so they can speak Chinese more confidently and accurately in everyday situations.
For Maths and Science, I explain concepts step by step and use simple examples to make difficult topics easier to understand. I also provide notes and learning materials for students to review after class.
After each lesson, students will complete a short quiz to check their understanding. I will also provide feedback at the end of each class and highlight areas that need further improvement.
Lesson duration: 1-hour lessons.
Who I teach: Children under 12 years old, including students preparing for UASA and those who need additional support in Chinese, Maths or Science.
Qualifications & Experience: Doctor of Medicine graduate with over 3 years of online teaching experience.
